Eliot LeBow **
Originally from the Washington, DC area, I showed signs of artistic talent at a very young age. At five-years-old, my parents gave me coloring books. I refused to color them. Eventually, my mother gave me a blank piece of paper, and I would draw angular shapes and color them in.
At six-year-old I had started incorporating perspective into my drawings. I have been fascinated with abstraction ever since. At age 11 I was accepted to the highly regarded Corcoran School of Art in Washington D.C., and my formal art training began. I studied at Corcoran School of Art throughout high school. I graduated college with a major in painting and art history. I depict nature through the use of circular objects, rays of light, sunsets, landscapes, and seascapes. Through my paintings, I show a broad range of color, light, geometric shapes, and the elements of nature. These elements come together in ways both pleasing and fascinating to the viewer while creating a new way to look at surrealism and abstraction. In 1994 I moved to New York to pursue an art career and have been here ever since. Three months later I had my first NYC exhibit in SOHO, where my art career took off. |
